What is the hold up to getting started?
Since the rise of the virus I had to focus on my family and I have not had the mental space to do anything with the FGC. Now that things are settling down for me I am now recommitting myself to pushing BK. I hope you can be patient and the good stuff is coming.

Why did I start Broken Knucklez?
The simple answer is I wanted to see the best play the best in long sets. I know if you go to majors there are money matches and every once and awhile there are long sets played on random streams, I think its time we consolidate. 

How do we KNOW who is the best, really?
The FGC was started with idea that everyone gets a chance to be a champion. With this being a core value in our community, we have grown an amazing scene from the ground up. Let's be honest, we are at a place where there is an obvious level change between the guy who has a great run and the pro who consistently places in the top 16. Long sets are the type of competition where we separate the wheat from the chaff. 

What happened the the character specialist?
I miss the time where there was a great player with a low-tier character and they made the match competitive. I have heard a number of reasons why this may no longer be the case, but I personally believe that it not longer a thing because the current games are balanced in such a way that forces players to use the counter pick to a character. Since the main competitive play is played in short sets, the professional player will optimize their choice to better ensure their chance to win. I think with the introduction of long sets in professional play, there becomes room for character specialist again.

Why are there two prizes per match?
Each match will have a guaranteed pot and a public pot. The guaranteed pot is comprised of money from Broken Knucklez and from each competitor. That is split is basically 75% - 25%. The public pot is the prize money from the Matcherino pot. This pot is for people to increase the prize pool and a portion of this money goes to future matches for league. This pot has a similar split to the guaranteed pot.
